Explore our native world

Step into a world unlike any other – a predator-free sanctuary where learning comes to life
Tarapuruhi offers students and teachers a rare opportunity to explore Aotearoa as it once was, before the arrival of humans and introduced predators. Wander through ancient native forest, witness thriving wildlife, and discover the magic of regenerated wetlands & recovering ecosystems.
Our current education programme is building momentum, led by part-time education co-ordinator Michaella Luxton and supported by a team of volunteer educators.
