Booking Information

Please read before filling in booking form

When booking your visit, you will select from the following options for your learning programme:

 

  • Introduction to Native Aotearoa: A full day of experiences led by our educators. Students will go on a guided forest walk, explore the wetlands, and complete a pest and predator workshop. Time required; 4 hours
  • Guided Forest Walk: A guided walk through the ancient forest. Time required: 1-2 hours
  • Custom Planned Visit: We are happy to work with you to plan a visit tailored towards your students learning. We can meet with you to create your plan or discuss this over phone/email.
  • Classroom Presentation: We are available to present to your class before or after your visit. We will organise a time with you via. email if you tick the box. You do not need to book this into the calendar. Time required: 1 hour

We will work with you around your required arrival and departure times; we do not set these for you. It takes approx. 30 minutes to travel from Whanganui to Tarapuruhi. 

Cost

$3 per person for education/tour sessions
No charge for volunteer/working groups

Postponement

Postponement occurs during heavy consistent rain, and/or wind gusts over 50 km/hr. Weather here can often differ from Whanganui, and we keep you informed on conditions on site. You will be notified via the contact number on your booking form by 7am the day of, at the latest. We will work with you to find a replacement date.
