Volunteer
Volunteers are the heart of Tarapuruhi Bushy Park.
Over 500 hours of volunteering a month is provided by our community, and their work is vital to ensuring we continue to provide a safe space for our native life.
We are a welcoming group, always looking for new volunteers to join our team. Have a read below and get in touch if you think joining our group is a right fit for you!
Regular sanctuary volunteer days are every Tuesday and Thursday beginning at 9am near the Stables.
The Sanctuary Manager will let you know of the most urgent tasks and will assign volunteers to them. Tasks include predator control, fence checks, weed control, biodiversity monitoring, track maintenance etc. What you are assigned will depend on your fitness level and confidence.
You may stay until lunch or the end of the day. BYO Lunch and water.
We have a kitchen to heat things up and we provide tea and biscuits.
We would love to know your experience, skills, fitness level etc. when you sign up by filling in the form below:
Education volunteers help support our education programme.
Full training will be provided, and you will be placed at an activity you feel most comfortable with.
Should you be interested you will have access to the calendar of education events, as times vary.
