Volunteer
Volunteers are the heart of Tarapuruhi Bushy Park.
Every month, our dedicated community contributes more than 500 volunteer hours to help protect and restore this special sanctuary. Their support is essential in creating a safe haven for our native wildlife and preserving the park for future generations.

Volunteer at the Sanctuary
Join us for our regular volunteer days, held every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00am, meeting near the Stables.
You don’t need to attend every volunteer day – simply come along on any Tuesday or Thursday that works for you. Whether you can help occasionally or regularly, we’d love to have you involved.
When you arrive, the Volunteer Coordinator will brief the group on the most important tasks for the day and assign volunteers based on their interests, fitness level, experience, and confidence.
Volunteer activities may include:
- Predator control
- Fence inspections and maintenance
- Weed control
- Biodiversity monitoring
- Track maintenance
- General sanctuary projects
You are welcome to stay for a few hours, until lunch, or for the entire day.

Education volunteers
Corporate Volunteering
Give your team a chance to step out of the office and make a real difference at Tarapuruhi Bushy Park.
We welcome corporate groups on Thursdays to help with a range of conservation projects, from habitat restoration and weed control to track maintenance and biodiversity monitoring. No experience is required—our team will provide all the guidance you need.
A Corporate Volunteer Day is a rewarding way to strengthen team connections, support local conservation, and enjoy time outdoors together.
